The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (ADCCI) Director-General Mr. Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri has discussed the possibilities of strengthening economic partnership with Mr. Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agency for Small and Medium Business Development in the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan

During the meeting, both parties have explored the prospects of increasing trade exchange and the flow of goods to meet the strategic economic developments of both countries.

This came during the visit of the Azerbaijani official and the accompanying delegation to the Chamber’s tower in Abu Dhabi, which was also attended by Mr. Abdullah Ghurair Al Qubaisi, the Chamber’s Deputy Director-General.

During the discussion, Mr. Al Mheiri complimented Azerbaijan’s economic diversity, which makes it an ideal regional destination for trade, investment, and tourism.

He further noted that the Abu Dhabi Chamber is eager to connect Emirati entrepreneurs and investors with their Azerbaijani counterparts to explore all commercial potential, particularly in artificial intelligence, e-trade, food security, and the fourth industrial revolution.

Mr. Mammadov praised the Chamber’s warm welcome, emphasizing his country’s willingness to expand communication channels between the UAE and Azerbaijan, citing the Emirates as his country’s key economic partner in the GCC region. He praised the positive role Abu Dhabi Chamber plays in supporting the private sector and strengthening trade relations with Azerbaijan.

By the end of the meeting, Mr. Mammadov delved into the characteristics of the Azerbaijani economy and the features it boasts to attract foreign investments such as business incubators. Furthermore, he highlighted his desire to promote exchanged visits between Emirati and Azerbaijani businessmen in the near future.
