Within the framework of the 5th International Parliamentary Conference of the Silk Road Group under the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA), a high-level meeting was held on 7 May 2025 in Podgorica between the Prime Minister of Montenegro, H.E. Mr. Milojko Spajić, and a business delegation from Azerbaijan, organized and led by InvestBaku and its Director, Mr. Javid Mustafayev.

The meeting highlighted the deepening strategic and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Montenegro, with a particular focus on cooperation in tourism, hospitality, infrastructure, and construction. Discussions addressed both ongoing and future opportunities for Azerbaijani companies to engage in Montenegro’s priority development sectors.

Mr. Mustafayev emphasized Montenegro’s significance as a regional gateway and underlined the interest of Azerbaijani companies in contributing to major tourism and urban development projects. He also stressed the importance of facilitating Azerbaijani participation in public procurement processes and green energy initiatives, reflecting Azerbaijan’s growing international role in sustainable development and energy transition.

Both sides acknowledged the strong potential for long-term partnerships based on trust, technical competence, and shared goals for economic growth and regional integration. The Azerbaijani delegation reaffirmed its readiness to bring capital, know-how, and global networks to support Montenegro’s infrastructure and investment agenda.

This high-level meeting reaffirmed the existing friendly relations between the two countries and opened new pathways for enhanced cooperation across multiple sectors.
